Another great day for the 30 or so Nelson swimmers who made the journey south. Oxford Bayley and Alec Swan are pictured coming out of the water at the front of the field, with Oxford winning the sprint up the beach by two seconds. Both swimmers went to the left of the final yellow buoy, making their race slightly longer – the buoy was just to guide swimmers to shore and they could have cut to the right of it for a shorter beach run.
